We purchased my car in 2014 new. Come 2015 we had to replace the charcoal canister. I believe the car had @60,000 miles (yes, that's a lot but those are mostly highway miles)on it at this time. Check engine light lit. Vehicle was taken to a toyota dealer for service. Dealer stated that the fuel filler pipe leading to the fuel tank had multiple holes and required replacement of the fuel tank sub-assy. Dealer stated that this was a common failure for corollas (vehicle is three years old). Dealer stated that the fuel suction gasket had deteriorated and required replacement.

One hand holding handle while other hand must hold nozzle applying pressure to create a seal to pump gas.
