I brought it to the dealership where they identified the problem as the pls p&a center airbag sensor and explained that the malfunction was the same as in other cars that had been recalled. Because it was the same malfunction, i believe that mine and other similar vehicles should be covered by the recall to prevent harm to other drivers.

Toyota ran test on car ,they tell me it is a sinsor but i will have to replace it myself. The news reports are lexis and several others are on recall for bad airbag sensors. On my third clock switch in my steering column it is the device that feeds power to the air bag for the driver side air bag it seem that if the car detects a short or interruption in the electrical line it will light up the dash light . For me this has happen 3 time i am at 95,000. Mileage. Replacing the clock spring switch fixes it but the part is nether a switch or a spring go figure. Hope this helps
